![]() In fact, you might be able to get away with just one IP address as long as it is available in both subnets. You can give one NIC two (or more) IP addresses.Īs long as one of the IP addresses overlaps with both subnets, you will be fine. I havent changed anything on the sonicwall to make it work. So far they are using a second nic with no issues. You will also have to configure routing table so the Sonicwall knows where to send the traffic once it is received. The sonicwall will need policies to allow the 2 networks to talk plus policies to allow them access to the WAN port to get access to the internet. ![]() You will also need to find out how to separate the traffic on the switches(like using VLANs). You will then need to configure another port on your sonicwall for your 255 network. The easiest thing is 2 have 2 NICs assign one to 248 subnet and configure a port one the Sonicwall for that subnet. The Gateway has to be in same network because gateway is how your computer gets to a different network. Because you also have to do configuration on your switch to accept both of those IP Address,ġ00.1.1.2 be in a different network. I would not recommend assigning more than one IP Address to a Single NIC. ![]()
